Harry's safety tips

If you are biking to Rotary Park, there are some possible hazards to think about: 1. Cars: Keep near the footpath, ride with an adult and use the pedestrian crossing. 2. Visibility: The sun can be really blinding on Larnach Rd, so wear some visibility gear, or a bright coloured shirt. 3. Head Safety: Your brain is very precious so wear a helmet in case you fall and injure your head. 4. Be aware of others: Other people use the roads and footpaths too. Keep to the left to let people pass you, or stop and pull over. 5. Look and listen carefully at all times and keep both hands on the handlebars.

Rubys Homework On bike Hazards. Keeping Ourselves Safe.

if you bike on the footpath a car could hit you when it's reversing. Ride on the road left side. When your going speedy down a hill watch out for people. Make sure your breaks work. Don't leave your bike anywhere, use a lock and chain for safety. Wearing jandals or barefeet could be dangerous, if your feet slip off the peddals. Wear good shoes.
